Hi, my name is Bob Arthur. Here at Distinguished, I’m the Southeast Sales Executive for the Hotel and Real Estate Umbrella Program. Today I just want to talk to you about who we are and what we can do to help with any of those hotel and real estate umbrella needs.

Can you tell us about Distinguished’s Real Estate & Hospitality programs?

Distinguished is a risk purchasing group. We have been for the last 30-plus years. What this allows us to do is to build relationships with A-rated carriers to have a tower built specifically for our program, rather than you have to get a tower built yourself. My job here is to then qualify the accounts, discuss what limit options you’d like. We can go up to $140 million in real estate and $170 million with hotels. I will then get that over to our in-house underwriting team, who will then have the power of the pen to write the account for you.

How does Distinguished tailor it’s services to meet the unique needs of each broker and client?

We are always thinking of you, and if something does not fit our standard program, we now have a second option. This goes through AWAC. Typically, this is for your six-figure type accounts with limits from $55 million up to $170 million.

What sets Distinguished apart from other companies offering similar product solutions?

Here at Distinguished, I have extreme confidence in the programs that we offer. The reason being, we have expertise in both the real estate and the hotel fields. And by doing that, we have separated our underwriting team to have that focus on, one, real estate and, one, hotels. This will show through when we underwrite for you on these programs.

Give an example of how you solved a significant problem for a broker.

Distinguished is here to make this process as easy, as efficient as possible. When submitting, I’ll talk to you about options that we have. We can customize, tailored to you. If there’s an attachment point that we need to be at, we’ll present that option to you. Also, keep in mind, we can review accounts in the beginning without a GL quote. Eventually we’ll need it, but in the beginning, just to get the process going, we can begin our review.
