Renee McFadden again, Distinguished Programs, Vice President of Sales, representing the organization for the past 22 years, currently focused on the umbrella lines of business. Thanks so much for watching my last video. I got great feedback, so I decided to come back and tell you a little bit more about Distinguished Programs, our products, our services, and how we can help you achieve your goals.
Can you tell us about Distinguished’s Real Estate & Hospitality programs?
One of the great things about our high limit real estate and hotel umbrella product is the limit is not shared. If you have a client that has five locations and carries a $100 million umbrella, if that client experiences a loss at location number two, it does not diminish the amount of insurance that’s available at the remaining locations.
How does Distinguished tailor it’s services to meet the unique needs of each broker and client?
In our umbrella programs, we can offer flexible options, whether that be placing our umbrella on top of the general liability policy or placing our umbrella in an excess position.
What sets Distinguished apart from other companies offering similar product solutions?
One of the things that makes us Distinguished is we have multiple umbrella options. If a risk does not fit in one of our umbrella programs, we may have an alternative solution for that account.
Give an example of how you solved a significant problem for a broker.
So I’ll give you an example of how I recently helped a client who built a high rise apartment building. Not only did the lender require adequate limits of insurance to protect their interest, but the owner of the apartment building was very much interested in protecting his interest in the building. There are tons of unexpected things that can occur, including catastrophic losses. Having adequate limits protects your assets, and allows the insurance company to handle everything.
