NEW YORK — Distinguished Programs (“Distinguished”), a leading national insurance program administrator, announced the launch of a Business Owner’s Policy (BOP) for restaurants. The new offering, developed specifically for casual dining restaurants (with or without table service), is now available through Distinguished’s Broker Connect portal.
The addition of the BOP further strengthens Distinguished’s comprehensive suite of restaurant-focused insurance products, which already includes package, umbrella and cyber coverage. With the Broker Connect portal, brokers can submit BOP business at any time, streamlining the process for greater speed and convenience.
“With the addition of BOP, we’re empowering brokers with a more complete solution for their restaurant clients,” said Heidi Strommen, President of Distinguished’s Primary Hospitality programs. “This product not only complements our existing product offerings but also emphasizes our focus on ease of doing business and delivering meaningful value to brokers and their clients.”
The coverage is backed by an A+ XV rated, admitted carrier and tailored to meet the needs of restaurants. The policy includes key protections such as business income loss resulting from off-premises utility service interruptions, food contamination, spoilage, employee dishonesty and identity fraud expense. Liquor liability coverage is available based on risk eligibility. Optional enhancements include data breach protection and increased liability limits.
The BOP is available now for submissions nationwide, excluding Alaska, Florida, Hawaii, and New York. Brokers registered with Distinguished can submit BOP business on the Broker Connect portal.
